The Delta State Council of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), in collaboration with its Ughelli North Local Government Area Chapter, has warmly welcomed the Executive Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, to Ughelli North LGA for the historic groundbreaking and flag-off ceremony of the Otowodo Flyover.
The council described the project as a landmark intervention that speaks directly to the aspirations of youths and residents of the area, noting that the flyover represents more than just infrastructure, but a strong statement of responsive and people-oriented governance.
In a statement issued by the Office of the Chairman, NYCN Delta State, Comrade Sagboje Odiri Milton, CLN, the council said the Otowodo Flyover aligns perfectly with the Governor’s #RenewedHope4MOREAgenda, which prioritizes sustainable development, economic growth, and improved quality of life for Deltans.
“This moment is a powerful reminder that governance, when driven by vision, compassion, and accountability, can translate into tangible progress for the people,” the statement read. “The Otowodo Flyover will ease traffic congestion, enhance road safety, stimulate commercial activities, and restore dignity to movement within Ughelli and its environs.”
The NYCN further noted that improved road infrastructure remains a critical enabler of youth productivity, job creation, and inclusive economic participation, stressing that projects of this nature reaffirm the confidence of young people in the Oborevwori administration.
Commending the Governor for his consistency in delivering impactful projects across the state, the council stated that Delta State continues to shine brighter under purposeful leadership, as development is being felt at the grassroots.
